Have you ever dreamed of experiencing the heart of rural Japan by bike? 🚴‍♂️
Tsukuba Kasumigaura Ring Ring Road is a 180km cycling course that connects the former Tsukuba Railway cycling path with Lake Kasumigaura lakeside path in Ibaraki Prefecture.
This national cycling route will take you through stunning natural landscapes with rice fields, quiet villages, rolling hills and mountains. There’s a lot to see, from the wetlands of the Lake Kasumigaura area to the beautiful Mount Tsukuba, including historic and cultural sites such as Kashima Shrine. ⛩
You will find many restaurants and shops to take a break and enjoy local foods along the cycling course. Don’t worry if you don’t have a bike! 🚲 Along the route there are spots with rental bicycles that can be picked up and dropped off at any point.
