There’s a tradition in Japan called Hatsuhinode where you watch the first sunrise of the New Year. If you watch it, you will have good luck in the upcoming year! We went camping on beach on the eastern side of the island just to be able to see the sunrise. It was so rainy all night, the sun was definitely hiding behind clouds, and it was freezing the whole time but it was worth it to bring all the good vibes possible to this new year!

I’ll try not to remember 2020 as a year of things we lost, but as a year of growth and resilience. We’ve come out of it stronger and ready to face whatever 2021 can throw at us! I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year celebration and is ready for another year of growth ❤️
