We finally had our first night away on our actual anniversary! Here’s what I’ve learned: it’s not the nights away or special vacations that make a marriage. It’s the everyday life together. Putting the other person before yourself. Getting up early and staying up late to spend time together. Dreaming together. Constantly building your friendship. Supporting each other thru trials. Choosing each other daily.
