Hello, MTV, and welcome to my crib!
Shikina-en is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This palace at Shikina-en is a restoration of the palace that was destroyed in 1945 at the Battle of Okinawa. It’s original use was to entertain the royal family & international guests (so I guess I’ve got a lot of work to do😉).
I love learning about the history & culture of Okinawa! For ¥400 and a short trip down to Naha, you can stroll through a beautiful garden, walk inside traditional (rebuilt) housing, relax by a pond, and have a beautiful overlook of Oki!
