Setsubun Day • Today we celebrated with some homemade masks and said “Oni wa soto! Fuku wa uchi!” (Demons get out! Good luck come in!)

It’s a Japanese tradition to celebrate the changing of seasons and welcome in the spring. This tradition is a particular favorite among children that get to throw soybeans at an oni (often played by dear old dad) and chant the Setsubun mantra.

Our celebration was quite untraditional but we had fun anyway! Swipe to see a close up of the beautiful homemade masks!
