We shipped our van to Okinawa! ð
For those of you who don’t know where Okinawa is… it’s a Japanese prefecture made up of 150+ islands located between Taiwan and Japan’s mainland. It’s well known for its topical climate and beautiful beaches!
Winter vanlife is pretty tough and just after New Year, we made the decision to go to Okinawa since the weather is around 20 degrees celsius during the winter months.
We found a company who helps people move house to Okinawa and they shipped our van in a container while we travelled separately!
You can see on the map in the second picture that we are actually closer to Taiwan, China and the Philippines than mainland Japan!
My first impression of Okinawa was how friendly and smiley everyone is!
