This installation was so beautiful, so grateful for the opportunity to see if in person! The base was made of broken tiles from the destroyed Shuri Castle which I was also fortunate enough to see in person before it burned in 2019. Our time in Japan is coming to an end and I’m so emotional about it, seeing this broke my heart but also filled me with such gratitude.
