現在滞在中のアーティストさん宮城光男（天才光男）さんは
シーサー作家として、沖縄、九州、京都、パリで展覧会を行
い、テレビにも多数取材され、環境問題をアートの力で解
決する作品を作り続けています。今回光男さんは火災後の
首里城の瓦礫を粉にし、絵具に入れ、守り神シーサーの作
品を作っています。
Mr Miyagi Mitsuo, who is on the residency now in Nanjo Art Museum. As a Shisa creator, he used to have exhibitions in Okinawa, Kyushu, Tokyo and Paris. He has been interviewed by the TV about how to solve environmental problems with the power of art. This time Miyagi-san used the rubble of Shurijo Castle and crushed it into powder. He used this power as pigment to paint the Okinawa guardian Shisa.
